Custom Design Work

As part of a consulting project or as an independent project, Simple Raiment Studio provides custom designs for Liturgical Art.  Most often the custom design work develops out of a relationship with the congregation through consulting or workshops.  It may include working with other artist and artisans to develop the design.  Assistance in taking the design to a finished piece of art is also available. 

Custom design work allows the congregation to make use of skilled resources within their community to finish the artwork.  This partnership of a design professional with a local craftsperson increases the effectiveness of the art, the parishes attachment to the art, and the final cost for the parish.

Typically custom design work begins several conversations with parish representatives about their needs, tastes, preferences, congregational values and insights. One or more designs will be conceived and honed through further conversation.  If desired, Simple Raiment Studio will remain involved through the fabrication of the design to insure that the final piece has the desired result and effect.
