The Guild of
Parish Artists provides visual artists working
in local churches resources and support. Through a regular newsletter,
periodic meeting workshops, and on-line resources, the Guild provides help
in creating liturgical and worship arts.
The Guild is committed to working with both
professional and non-professional worship and liturgical artists as they
endeavor to provide the best possible artwork for the worship of God.
By equipping them with skills and enabling discussion, the Guild of Parish
Artists can help every congregation enhance their worship with art.
What is liturgical art?
The Newsletter
is published 5 times a year and offers a feature article and regular columns.
This resource is available in both print and digital format. Back
issues are online. The goal of the newsletter is to share information
about what the Guild and it's participants are doing.
The Meetings
are hands-on opportunities for people
interested in the visual liturgical/worship arts to learn new skills, hone
old skills, discuss issues related to the visual arts in worship, and share
ideas.
The Resources are an online source
for tools to help develop liturgical art. The resources include recommended
books, links, articles, projects and more. Each resource page brings
together a variety help to get you thinking.
The History provides a bit of
background and information about how you can further participate in the
Guild.
